Alfred Hanna is a Coptic Orthodox Christian, Texas-based entrepreneur, technologist, digital strategist, and community builder whose work is shaped by faith, service, discipline, and a practical commitment to helping people and businesses grow. Across his work in business, technology, BBQ, nonprofit service, and personal writing, Alfred approaches life with the belief that success should be measured not only by achievement, but by integrity, usefulness, and service to others.
Faith is central to Alfred’s identity and worldview. As a Coptic Orthodox Christian, he draws from a tradition rooted in perseverance, humility, sacrifice, worship, and service. That foundation influences how he thinks about leadership, family, business, relationships, and personal growth. For Alfred, faith is not separate from daily work. It shapes the way he builds, leads, writes, serves, and engages with the people around him.
Professionally, Alfred has spent more than two decades working at the intersection of technology, business, and digital strategy. He is the owner of Hanna Group LLC and a partner at Centennial Arts, where he helps businesses, organizations, and entrepreneurs build stronger digital foundations. His work includes website development, hosting, cloud services, digital operations, business systems, and long-term technology strategy.
Alfred’s approach to technology is practical and business-focused. He believes digital systems should make organizations stronger, not more complicated. Whether working on a website, hosting environment, cloud platform, or business workflow, he focuses on reliability, clarity, usability, and long-term value. His strength is combining technical knowledge with the perspective of a business owner, allowing him to understand both the technical details and the real operational needs behind them.
Alfred studied Engineering Technology with a focus in Electronics at Texas A&M University and graduated in 2002. His early technical background included work at the Texas A&M Nuclear Science Center, where he developed a respect for complex systems, technical discipline, and dependable execution. That foundation continues to influence how he approaches problem-solving, business systems, and leadership.
In addition to his work in technology, Alfred is the founder of South Texas Stampede, a Texas-based competitive cooking team and food-sport community. Through South Texas Stampede, he brings together cooks, competitors, and food enthusiasts who share a passion for BBQ, steak, chili, competition, hospitality, and culinary excellence. What began as a competitive interest has grown into a broader community built around preparation, camaraderie, discipline, and respect for the craft.
For Alfred, BBQ and business have more in common than most people realize. Both require patience, consistency, preparation, attention to detail, and a willingness to keep improving. Whether he is building a digital platform, supporting a business, organizing a team, or preparing for a cookoff, Alfred believes excellence comes from doing the fundamentals well and staying committed to the process.
Alfred also serves as Vice President of Gene Potts Memorial, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting adult chemotherapy patients and their caregivers. His involvement reflects a deep commitment to service, compassion, and helping people through difficult seasons of life. This work is an extension of the same values that guide his faith, business, and community involvement: show up, serve well, and use what you have been given to help others.
Through his writing and public presence, Alfred shares reflections on business, technology, spiritual growth, leadership, BBQ, and everyday life. His voice is practical, direct, and grounded in lived experience. He writes not as a distant commentator, but as someone who has built businesses, solved technical problems, served communities, competed, failed, learned, and continued forward.
Across every area of his life, Alfred Hanna is driven by a consistent purpose: to build with integrity, serve faithfully, and create lasting value. Whether through technology, entrepreneurship, food, charity, or faith-centered reflection, his work reflects a commitment to doing meaningful things well and helping others grow along the way.
